I'm volunteering on a regular basis at St. Joseph's Soup Kitchen.

St. Joe’s Soup Kitchen is an independent, all-volunteer organization that serves 400-500 meals every Saturday to New York City’s homeless and hungry. They have been in operation for nearly 40 years, relying on volunteers, local businesses, and the generosity of the community to help us continue our mission of providing hot, nutritious meals to those in need.

They are located at Casserly Hall below St. Joseph’s Church at 371 Sixth Avenue (at Washington Place). The volunteers work in two shifts; Preparation begins at 10am and serving begins at 1pm. If you or your group are interested in joining me in volunteering at St. Joe’s, please email Steve, the Executive Director & Volunteer Coordinator, at volunteer@sjsk.nyc.
